Testimonials

ILAS is a law school that is certainly a cut above the rest. Students are given the necessary attention they deserve. We are deeply motivated and we are success driven. Teachers give students the support from beginning to end. The law becomes alive in ILAS,where students are given a chance to display their advocacy skills by participating in mooting competitions, debates, law skills marathon and other competitions. Our school specializes in law and law alone, there is no mix. There is also a hundred percent attendance record by teachers, this record cannot be matched by any other school in the world. Students normally start their program elsewhere and complete it at ILAS.

I am Ms. Alisha Mungroo a pass student of Institute of Law and Academic Studies it has not only been a pleasure but great honour to be part of extraordinary learning experience not only academically but to grow and prosper as an individual. At ILAS there are well train and highly qualified lectures and staff to accommodate your every need. It is a comfortable, warm, safe and family oriented learning environment that is unlike any other.  The lectures are not done just because it has to be done but they each seek a personal interest in every student without preference. Also there also year round academic and social activities. Special mention must be made of Mrs. Gail Narinesingh who is the founder, principle and lecturer at ILAS she is an astonishing and brilliant individual with a god like personality that will continue to prevail.

Having spent the few years preceding my time in ILAS at a Canadian University, I was apprehensive about going back to Trinidad to further my studies, this time in the field of law. When researching the various options, one name kept coming up - Gail Narinesingh & ILAS. A large proportion of Senior Members of the Legal Fraternity spoke of (and continue to speak of) their admiration for the quality of students being borne out of ILAS.

Now having spent two years with ILAS, completing my LLB, I have absolutely no doubt that there is any other school which a person aspiring to do their LLB should attend. Gail offers structured, well thought-out class plans, and goes above and beyond what is required of external providers throughout the world. She takes time out of her own personal time to take care of her "children" down to structuring detailed, day by day study plans tailored to each student. Her classes take a methodological approach to the initially overwhelming content of the LLB, and her self-compiled books speaks volumes to the dedication which she, coupled with her teaching staff have towards the students.

Teachers are reservoirs from which, through the process of education, students draw the water of life.”  The dedication of Gail Narinesingh to her students, which has been passed on to her teaching staff exemplifies this quote, and I firmly believe and will always advocate that there is no better option for any student wishing to do the UoL External Programme than the Institute of Law & Academic Studies.

The reason for my choice of attending ILAS as opposed to other institutions is because of the reliability of the lecturers, their punctuality, their consistency with being up to date with the latest information to provide for their students for each course and that the remaining staff members are very courteous and perform their duties well. The school is also clean, comfortable, spacious and conducive to learning work for the accommodation of numerous students. Lastly, the success rate is high and does attract students to attend this institution.
